We are incredibly proud to share that our latest results show we are once again performing consistently above the UK national average in both Reading and Maths.
These outcomes reflect not only the hard work and determination of our pupils, but also the dedication of our staff and the strength of our teaching approach. Academic success at our school is carefully nurtured, thoughtfully planned, and rooted in high expectations for every child.
A Strong Focus on Reading
Reading sits at the heart of our curriculum. In Early Years, every child benefits from 1:1 reading sessions at least three times a week, ensuring personalised attention, targeted support, and the opportunity to build fluency and confidence.
By prioritising individual reading time, we are able to:
- Quickly identify and address gaps
- Stretch and challenge confident readers
- Foster a genuine love of books and storytelling
This consistent, tailored approach plays a key role in our strong reading outcomes. We also ensure children are reading for pleasure, with timetabled library time where children can discover the joy of a library and picking their own book to take home to enjoy.
Challenging and Engaging Maths
In Maths, we combine secure foundations with meaningful challenge. Alongside high-quality daily lessons, children take part in maths challenges and problem-solving activities designed to deepen understanding and encourage critical thinking.
In the early years we use a variety of different resources from moving pegs on a hanger for number bonds to 10 to rolling the dice game, counting the dice and placing the counters on the correct answer.
We aim not just for accuracy, but for confidence, ensuring pupils can explain their reasoning, apply skills in different contexts, and approach new problems with resilience.
High Expectations, Individual Support
Our results reflect our belief that children thrive when they are both supported and stretched. Through small class sizes, targeted interventions where needed, and extension opportunities for those ready for more, we ensure that every pupil is given the tools to succeed.
Most importantly, academic achievement sits alongside our commitment to nurturing confident, curious learners who enjoy coming to school.
We are proud of our pupils, grateful to our dedicated staff, and thankful to our supportive families. These results are a shared success and we remain committed to maintaining high standards while ensuring every child continues to flourish.
