📚 We had a wonderful day celebrating World Book Day today! Mrs Pache greeted the children dressed as Cinderella as they came in through the gates, setting the tone for a magical day of stories and imagination 👑
Our much loved annual catwalk was back, giving the children the chance to... proudly show off their fantastic costumes to parents and friends - many characters were brought to life!
Parents also joined their classes to read to the children in the morning, teachers shared stories across different year groups, and our older children spent time reading with our younger children throughout the day 💙 📖
Reading is a valued part of our curriculum, and days like this are a fantastic way to spark imagination, celebrate creativity and inspire a lifelong love of reading 📖 ✨

Last week Year 5 had a fantastic trip to Hampton Court Palace as part of this term’s project.
In the workshops the explore Tudor artefacts and historical sources, deepening their understanding of life in Tudor England and the reign of Henry VIII.
A highlight was the Tudor ...kitchens workshop, where they discovered the contrast between life as the King and the hard work behind the scenes preparing royal feasts. A brilliant hands-on way to bring history to life 👑 🍞 🔥

👩🏫 Meet our Reception teacher - Miss Ritchie 👋
Miss Ritchie has been part of the Wandsworth Prep community since 2017 and has been our dedicated Reception teacher since 2023. An experienced Early Years and Reception specialist, she has taught both in her native New Zealand and... here in London, bringing a wealth of knowledge and warmth to our youngest learners.
Her favourite part of teaching? Seeing the joy on children’s faces when they learn something new, sharing special reading moments together and watching their wonderful ideas shape and drive their learning.

🦒 🐾 Pre Prep Nursery and Reception trip to @zsllondonzoo
As part of this term’s ‘Animal Safari’ topic, our Pre Prep and Reception children enjoyed a fantastic trip to London Zoo. They loved exploring the zoo and seeing a wide range of animals, with giraffes being a highlight ...of the day!
The children also visited Zoo Town, an immersive role play experience where they stepped into the shoes of zookeepers, scientists, vets, posties and more! It was a wonderful opportunity for them to explore the many roles involved in caring for animals.
