🏫 As part of our ‘schools days’ topic, Year 1 were transported back to 1899 this morning for their memorable experience to explore first-hand what a Victorian classroom might have been like.
Memorable experiences are planned at the start of the term to spark curiosity and excite the... children about their learning in the weeks ahead.
The children explored different parts of the Victorian curriculum and learned what life was like for the children at the time, including the fact that many children didn’t go to school as they had to work. The children were also fascinated to see some of the Victorian punishments for misbehaviour!
Thanks to @freshwater_education for a brilliant experience that brought history to life and for such an enjoyable memorable experience.

The school came together for a delicious Christmas lunch with all the trimmings 🍗. We shared laughter, delicious food and plenty of sparkle from everyone’s Christmas jumpers!

Our school choir has been busy performing in the community, from the Northcote Road Light switch on @the_junction_bid to the Wandsworth Town Christmas Festival light switch on @thisisriverside.

🛍️ 💡 From ideas to products to sales! Our enterprise morning was a huge success. The children ran their stalls selling their homemade items, linked to their project of the term, with parents and friends.
From clay Christmas decorations, to bookmarks and hot chocolate kits, the ...profits will be counted up at the end of the school year with a portion saved for a class treat and the rest donated to a charity of their choice. 🎁

From programming their own games to testing how cars respond to different colour coding command pads to navigate their car all the way around a book using only coding ...instructions 🚗 🟦 🟩 🟧 it’s been a fun packed two days!
The children explored sequencing, logic and problem solving in a fun and creative way. These sessions are a fantastic way to build confidence and spark excitement for digital learning.
