📚 Buddy reading
Our Reception children welcomed Year 2 children to their class for a special reading session.
The Year 2 joined the Reception class to listen to them read, helping with tricky words, sounding out and talking about the stories together.
Buddy reading is a ...wonderful way for older and younger children to learn from one another. It’s also a lovely way to build friendships across the year groups.

As part of this half term’s project ‘Big Wide World’ Pre Prep Nursery and Reception visited the London Transport Museum @ltmuseum 🚊
During their visit the children took part in a ‘is this the way home?’ session and learnt and explored different ways of travelling and modes of... transport in the past and present.
It was a fun, engaging and memorable day that helped bring classroom learning to life.

A huge thank you to Epsom College @epsomcollegeuk for hosting a fantastic Creative Writing Masterclass yesterday.
The children worked in small groups to ‘Frankenstein’ a story — picking out 30 interesting words and phrases from a short story and using them to create a new paragraph. ...They then used their paragraph as the opening to their own short story. ✍️
A brilliant afternoon of creativity, collaboration and storytelling, as well as a wonderful opportunity to experience Epsom College’s fantastic grounds and facilities. 💙

🌳 Forest school is a much loved part of life at Wandsworth Prep. Last week our new Reception and Pre Prep Nursery children experienced it for the first time, it was a wonderful way to end the first full week!
