Telling the story behind Christmas is what we do so well here at Wandsworth Prep in our annual nativity performance. I think it is safe to say that the Lower School nativity has become a true highlight in everyone’s social calendar and what better way to start the festive season than with our annual nativity which took place this year on Thursday 1st December.
This year, Lower School joined forces with Year 2 for the first time and performed ‘A King is Born’ at ‘St Michael’s Wandsworth Common’ in front of their families and friends. The experience of performing allowed the children to develop their speaking and performance skills, as well as encouraging them to develop their confidence to speak in front of a large audience. This year we continued our support from Group64, the resident Youth Theatre at Putney Arts theatre, who helped to add their extra magic to our performance while having fun in our interactive drama workshops to develop their characters.
I think all those there would agree that the nativity was a huge success with both the children and their families! We are so proud of the children and all that they have had to learn and remember for the performance.
A special thank you to St Michael’s Wandsworth Common for having us to perform and to all our parents and teachers who helped make it all possible!
